The final exhibition

Sorry I have not posted in a while… I have been super busy doing my final collection. Below is a sneak peak of my show, with me celebrating with a good bottle of Budweiser 🙂

I have stumbled on this great competition which allows you to upload your image that is then created into a print suitable for an item of clothing that is available to purchase straight away!

Here is my last piece!

This is a skirt made from grey jersey fabric with granny/blue ink gold foil with blue satin stitches.

I am really happy with this piece, and could see it in high street stores such as Topshop 🙂

Here is my second final piece. This is a printed tee with a gray trim.
I decided against adding embroidery to this piece as I felt that it would distract from the print.

Well here it is my first finished piece! I have done the neck placement, with hand embroidery detailing.  I have added little satin stitches of gold to make the piece sparkle!

I have added gold as an accent colour in my palette alongside lilac.  Wanting to experiment further I have decided to use foils, I have sampled with the gold paint but it was just too dull!  The placement design is for a skirt.

I am doing placement designs for my garment pieces, here is a design placement for a neck piece

A little stitch here and there

I love hand embroidery, even though it is very time consuming it is still riding strong in the fast paced fashion industry!
Below I have done French knots which have worked really well in the gold thread.
Also playing with pattern in the background with chevron and herringbone stitches!

 

 

Print me colourful

Well here they are my first prints! I love the detailing that the screen print has managed to retain and the colours are strong, need to play with placement ideas for my garment fronts!

The mixing pot

Been busy mixing colours ready for screen prints!!! Loving the colours as they look very sophisticated.  Also brought my embroidery threads to match as I am going to do hand embroidery of the screen prints!
