A little stitch here and there

I love hand embroidery, even though it is very time consuming it is still riding strong in the fast paced fashion industry!
Below I have done French knots which have worked really well in the gold thread.
Also playing with pattern in the background with chevron and herringbone stitches!

During my 1st year I really wanted to experiment with embroidery.  Ever since I can remember I have enjoyed embroidery from doing the counted cross stitches and when I started college I was able to do machine embroidery really inspired me to be more creative, however I have been very certain about one thing… no patchwork! my aim is to create modern embroidery pieces which I feel i have done mixing machine and hand stitch together, with ribbon embroidery to give a creative edge to the design.    As the year went on I become more confident with mixing different textures together with felt, melted PVC and hand embroidery works really well!

in 2nd year I want to be more daring with my embroidery and try more complicated stitch work which will enhance my finished pieces.
